Here is 5 cent worth creation. The objective is to replace the old 4.8V tungsten bulb with my old 19 LED torch. As the old bulb is power consuming and it ain’t bright either.

After conversion, lumen has increased at least by 8X!! I consider the conversion as a success. However, it took me couple of hours for trial and error (burnt 2 LED due to over current). Most of the time was spent on dismantling torch, solder wiring, gluing of bulb and cover. More coming out for those lighting freaks like me! Hahaa.. Next chapter LED traffic wand. Research in progress.

Never got the chance to view the exhibition. As it was only open to public on for 2days. Wanted to go on Sat but the rest not free, I never buy the ticket in advance. Until Sun morning, people then started to ask me if I want to go. Too bad, I slept late the night (near 5am) before so I was not awake until noon. Heard that the tickets were sold out by then and the human traffic was a nightmare. Not to mention the scorching sun. Weekends’ weather was not desirable, too cloudy capture any good photos. Slight rain in the evening hours too. Looking forward for 2010 show, meanwhile maybe can view oversea ones. Hehee.

Finally received last piece of “puzzle” before I could finish up with the photo. It took me couple of hours to complete the detail for logos and arrangement. There is still visible flaws but I’ll try to achieve realism and perfection for the next installation.
